Arcus Kisan Network
A ground-level network of Punjab farmers, mapped field by field, so they can be connected to buyers, schemes and new technology. Through our WhatsApp community, members receive daily weather advisories, crop guidance and mandi price updates, keeping every decision on the farm an informed one.

FAQs
Questions we are asked often
We work on regenerative land and agriculture, inclusive livelihoods and enterprise,
knowledge and skills, and grassroots innovation - with evidence, technology and
partnerships running across all four. In practice that means testing solutions in
the field, documenting what holds up, and helping local institutions run them.
The Foundation operates independently, but it builds on the analytical foundations
developed through Arcus' system-level work. The relationship is cyclical: design
informs field testing, and field realities refine design.
Sona Ugao is our biochar initiative. It promotes soil amendment aimed at higher
productivity, lower input use, greater rural income and reduced weather risk in
agriculture. It sits within our Regenerative Land & Agriculture pillar.
Our programmes currently engage farming communities across 12 states. We deliberately
keep the map small: fewer geographies, longer engagements, and enough time to see
whether an institution can carry the work on its own.
We look for places where a durable local institution can be strengthened, where the
climate or livelihood question is genuinely open, and where we can commit for long
enough to answer it properly. If we cannot stay the course, we do not start.
Yes. We work with governments, institutions, NGOs and the wider Arcus ecosystem,
usually where a partnership extends the reach of something already tested in the
